Weebly is a great tool to help create a free classroom website. It is easyto use and create a website that is unique to you.
Creating
ShowMe is much like Educreations, but I have found that it is easier for myself and my students to use. ShowMe is an app that allows students to make videos, share their videos, and follow and view videos that others have made. I enjoy using it as a quick assessment tool to see if my students truly understand the concept we were working on that day in class. It is an easy way to do a quick formative assessment and I can watch it from anywhere.
Applying Understanding
Class Dojo is a website that I use to track student behavior. I import my class names, positive and negative behaviors according to our school, and then I am able to award points based on their behaviors. Parents are also able to track their child's behaviors with a simple code. I've also enjoyed watching to see how my students do in their specialists, because they too, are able to upload a class and track behaviors.
Evaluating
Showbie is an online tool that is helping me transition to a paperless classroom. Using this website, my students are able to login, access and complete their work, and then upload it back into the website. They are only able to see and make changes to their own work, so it is more manageable than some of the other websites like it.
Evaluating
Prezi has transformed the way many of my presentations are done. I enjoy using it to create presentations for everything in my classroom, and also for creating presentations for technology workshops outside of my classroom. My students even enjoy when they get to create a presentation with it, and now that more than one person can collaborate at a time on a presentation, it makes things even more engaging.
Creating
I've been using iTunesU to create post videos for my students and fellow teachers to use. For my students, it is a source to find information that we have covered in class if they need to review it at home, or if their parents have a question about how to complete an assignment. For myself, I enjoy finding information that others have created and I also like that I can subscribe to some of the ones I like to view often.
Understanding Creating
Evernote is a great tool for helping to stay organized. Notebooks for everything. Allows you to import pdf's and other documents, take notes, and it is an app that allows you to make changes from pretty much any device you have.
Analyzing
Allows students to learn from any computer with access to the web. Videos, interactive challenges, and assessments that allow teachers and parents to track how they are doing. Transforming the idea that education is truly for everyone.
Understanding
Quick and easy creation of formative assessments/exit tickets. As a teacher, you create the assignment, multiple-choice or short-answer. Students use the access code to get to your class and take the assessments. Results are emailed to you.
Understanding Evaluating
Padlet is like being able to put post-it notes to an online source. Quick, easy to use. Easy to collaborate and add multimedia. My students and families like it to post discussions. I also enjoy using it with my reading groups.
Remembering
Allows for easy creation of GLOGS - online multimedia posters - with text, photos, videos, graphics, sounds, drawings, data attachments, and more. Easy collaboration and students love the graphics they can add.
